Know not just whether AI engines mention your brand — but how. Positive, neutral, and negative sentiment classification on every scan result across all AI engines you track.
Start tracking sentiment →AI engine recommends your brand as a leading or preferred solution. Mentions you first or as the best option for the user's needs.
Example AI response
“"[Your Brand] is the best-in-class solution for teams looking to automate HR onboarding. It integrates seamlessly with major HRIS platforms."”
AI engine mentions your brand as an option but without clear recommendation — typically in a list format alongside competitors with no preference expressed.
Example AI response
“"For HR onboarding automation, you might consider [Brand A], [Your Brand], or [Brand B], depending on your team size and budget."”
AI engine mentions your brand with caveats, limitations, or negative framing — or positions a competitor as clearly superior.
Example AI response
“"While [Your Brand] offers basic functionality, many teams find [Competitor] to be a more robust option for enterprise workflows."”

Real scenarios and what the sentiment data means for your AEO strategy.
Scenario
You are mentioned but always as a fallback
What it means
Neutral mentions with no clear recommendation mean you are not winning the consideration stage. Fix: publish direct comparison content and case studies that establish clear advantages.
Scenario
ChatGPT is positive but Perplexity is negative
What it means
Different engines weight different signals. Perplexity often leans on user reviews and Reddit sentiment. Check your recent G2/Trustpilot reviews.
Scenario
Sentiment is improving over 30 days
What it means
Your AEO fixes are working. AI engines are starting to present your brand more favorably as they pick up your new content and schema.
Scenario
New competitor getting positive mentions you used to own
What it means
They published content you haven't matched yet. Run a gap analysis to find what they added.
After each engine scan, TrueCite passes the raw AI response and your brand name to Claude Haiku. The model outputs a single word: positive, neutral, or negative.
Sentiment is only classified when brand_mentioned = true. Scans where your brand was not mentioned are recorded as “Not mentioned” — separate from the three sentiment categories.
