AI SEO Audit
The AI SEO Audit scores every page on your site across three dimensions — Technical, Content, and AI SEO — and returns a prioritized list of specific issues with exact fix recommendations. Available on Lite and above.
Three-dimension scoring
Every page gets three scores, each weighted in the final overall score:
Technical Score (30%)
- —Title tag present and optimal length
- —Meta description present
- —Canonical URL set
- —Single H1 tag
- —Alt text on images
- —Robots directives not blocking AI crawlers
Content Score (35%)
- —Minimum word count (300+ words)
- —Heading structure (H2/H3 hierarchy)
- —Internal links present
- —Content freshness indicators
AI SEO Score (35%)
- —FAQPage schema present
- —Organization or Product JSON-LD
- —Entity mentions in content
- —Definition / answer-first paragraphs
- —HowTo schema on guides
- —Q&A structured content

Running an audit
Go to Dashboard → AI SEO Audit
Navigate to the AI SEO Audit page in your dashboard sidebar.
Enter your domain
TrueCite discovers your pages automatically via sitemap.xml and robots.txt.
Wait for results
Audit runs async with a live progress bar. A 50-page site typically finishes in 3 minutes.
Review issues
Results are ordered by overall score ascending — worst pages first. Each issue has a Critical / Warning / Info severity and a specific fix.
Auditing competitor pages
You can audit any external URL, not just your own site. External audit limits vary by plan: Trial = own site only, Lite = 5 external/day, Starter = 25/day, Pro/Enterprise = unlimited.
Fixing audit issues
Each issue in the results includes a specific fix recommendation. For schema issues, click “Generate Fix” on any audited page — the Fix Generator uses the actual issues found to write targeted FAQ blocks and JSON-LD code.
Focus on Critical issues first. One Critical fix on a high-traffic page outweighs ten Info-level fixes on low-traffic pages.
