Connecting GA4
Go to Settings → AI Traffic tab
Navigate to Settings in your TrueCite dashboard and select the AI Traffic tab.
Click Connect Google Analytics
TrueCite requests read-only OAuth access to your Google account.
Sign in with Google
Use the Google account that has Viewer access or above to your GA4 property.
Select your GA4 property
If you have multiple properties, TrueCite shows a picker. Select the property for your active business.
Done
AI-referred traffic data appears within 24 hours. The connection uses read-only access and can be disconnected at any time.
If you see a Google warning that “this app hasn't been verified”, click Advanced → Go to TrueCite. This is expected for apps going through Google's review process.
Reconnecting after token expiry
If the connection shows a “Reconnect” prompt, your OAuth token has expired. Click Reconnect and sign in again — takes 30 seconds. Google periodically rotates OAuth tokens as a security measure.
Disconnecting
Go to Settings → AI Traffic and click Disconnect. All stored GA4 data is removed from TrueCite. Your Google Analytics account and data are unaffected.
The AI traffic dashboard is most useful after you have published Fix Generator content. Use it to confirm that AI engines are sending more visitors after your AEO improvements.
