Google Search Console Integration
Connect Google Search Console to import your top search queries as AEO prompts with one click. Each imported query is automatically classified by intent. Available on Starter and above.
What the integration shows
Top 50 search queries
Your highest-traffic queries with clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position.
Top 25 pages
Your best-performing pages by clicks — useful for finding pages where AEO fixes will have the highest impact.
Prompt suggestions
Queries not already in your TrueCite prompt library, suggested for import as AEO prompts.
Connecting Search Console
Connect your Google account via Settings → AI Traffic
The GSC connection shares the same Google OAuth as the GA4 integration. Connect once and both work.
Go to Settings → Search Console tab
Select your GSC property from the list of verified properties on your Google account.
Done — data appears immediately
Top queries and pages load from GSC as soon as your property is selected.
Importing queries as prompts
Go to Prompt Library → Search Console tab
Switch to the Search Console tab inside your TrueCite Prompt Library.
Review suggested queries
Queries you haven't imported yet are shown with their GSC metrics: clicks, impressions, CTR, and position.
Select and import
Check the queries you want to track as AEO prompts and click "Import selected".
Intent is auto-tagged
TrueCite classifies each imported query as commercial, informational, navigational, or transactional using AI.
GSC vs GA4 — what each tells you
Google Search Console
What people search for before clicking your site. Use it to find the exact questions your buyers ask.
Google Analytics 4
What happens after they arrive — including AI-referred sessions from ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
High-impression, low-click queries in GSC are the best candidates to import as AEO prompts. These are questions your buyers ask that you rank for on Google but aren't winning in AI answers.
