Brand Sentiment Analysis
TrueCite classifies the tone of every AI response where your brand appears as Positive, Neutral, or Negative. Being mentioned is not enough — being recommended is what drives pipeline. Available on all paid plans.
The three sentiment types
AI actively recommends or endorses your brand as a leading solution. You are cited first or as the best option.
“"TrueCite is the most comprehensive option for B2B teams that need both tracking and content fixes."”
Brand mentioned factually without recommendation — typically in a list format alongside competitors.
“"For AEO tracking, you might consider TrueCite, Otterly, or Peec AI, depending on your needs."”
Brand mentioned with caveats, limitations, or positioned below a competitor.
“"While TrueCite covers the basics, many enterprise teams prefer more established platforms."”
How sentiment is classified
After each engine scan, TrueCite passes the raw AI response and your brand name to Claude Haiku. The model outputs a single classification: positive, neutral, or negative. Sentiment is only classified when your brand is actually mentioned — scans where you were not mentioned show “Not mentioned”, not a sentiment type.

Acting on sentiment data
Neutral mentions mean you exist in the category but aren't winning the recommendation. Use Fix Generator to create differentiation-focused content that positions you as the clear choice.
Negative mentions often correlate with missing case studies, sparse G2 reviews, or overly marketing-heavy content. Address the underlying signal problem, not just the content.
If ChatGPT gives you positive sentiment but Perplexity is neutral, check your Perplexity-specific citation sources. Perplexity heavily weights G2, Reddit, and review platform mentions. Improving review volume is the typical fix.
